"You're my absolute"

Here I post about updates on manga, anime, film, etc. Media I like :p

November 2023

Tuesday the 21st

Most of the cool stuff I'm reading it seems like is winding down ;_; . But I'm glad I was able at least to start this page before they finished so I can catalogue their final arcs respectively.

  • Chainsaw Man
  • So far it seems Denji is beginning to recall his natural place as the Chainsaw Man, with Nayuta egging him on the fall back into his rowdy devil ways. Pretty interesting to see where Fujimoto is taking this series in the second half given how imo CSM pt 1 was pretty lacking in the character development part. I really like the deuteragonistic role Asa has taken and the slow tease we've had with her character's importance to the underlying four horsemen arc. I personally think given how she's currently out on the streets after fighting that CSM church minion, and Denji is now fleeing after Nayuta drove off his wrangler from public safety, it's only a matter of time before they meet.

  • Mujina into the Deep
  • Asano's successor series to Dead Dead Demon's is looking really promising. Ubume is slowly regaining her ranking in the world of mujinas, and we have further entanglements of Terumi with some more kino monologing. Tenko borderline jerking her shit in front of Ubume in an attempt to draw her in? 0_0 . And the tension between our male and female leads continue as we see they more or less adopted Juno as their "daughter" so to speak. I'm excited to see if what I'm thinking is going to happen between Ubume and Terumi comes to fruition

  • Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction
  • Anime Adaptation News

After the long build up of revealing the seiyuus for all the secondary and tertiary plot characters, we finally got our reveal of who will be voicing the main duo of the series. And in a stunning reveal both are apparently super hip and famous popstars from Japan. Which is not what I expected from this series given how much of a financial flop it was and how it seems to have been brushed off by most manga readers both in Japan and abroad here in the states. Along with the reveal we got a single frame it seems from the animated adaptation to compliment the portraits of the two VAs and it's as gorgeous as I could've ever dreamed it to be. To think when I was reading this series for the first time in the first quarter of 2020 I never could've forseen that it'd get an adaptation, and now we may be standing at the cusp of Asano breaking into mainstream popularity. I cannot wait :D

We also got a date reveal as a cherry on top, showing us that both parts are releasing in March and April of 2024, An animated trailer is supposedly still coming down the pipes so now we just wait in longing anticipation for our first images of the girls in motion for the very first time.
